AFM AVIASI RECEIVES INITIAL IS-BAH ACCREDITATION ACROSS MULTIPLE LOCATIONS

AFM Aviasi Indonesia (AFM) is now an IS-BAH accredited ground handler in both Jakarta and Bali!

Having IS-BAH certificate on the wall puts AFM as the first “pure” IS-BAH accredited ground handling company in Indonesia. AFM is independent and is not affiliated with any aircraft operator in Indonesia.

“AFM management is committed to having continuous improvement in our organization. We keep up with the latest global business aviation standards, as well as requirements from government and regulatory bodies. Safety is one area that the management will not compromise. Receiving this IS-BAH certification gives us a reason to perform our jobs and deliver services to our customers even better”, says Wando Soeripto, founder and director of AFM.

AFM is a physical ground handler in Indonesia with its own personnel, offices and ground support equipment. It employs over sixty (60) staff in Halim Perdanakusuma Airport in Jakarta (WIHH), I Gusti Ngurah Rai International Airport in Bali (WADD) and Sam Ratulangi International Airport in Manado (WAMM).

The IS-BAH standard, which focuses on the safety management systems, emergency, security, ground handling and movement of general aviation aircraft, is a set of global industry’s best practices that provide risk mitigation for business aviation operators.

The Aviation Safety Asia IS-BAH Lead Auditor who carried out the assessment of AFM Aviasi’s Bali and Jakarta facilities –  Mr Dane Williams said “AFM should be congratulated on a very good result in achieving accreditation across multiple sites at the stage one level. The team was very professional to work with and it is exciting to see they are soon looking to have a further AFM site approved in Manado”,
